Plenty of agencies list a city on a page because the city has search volume. The reason we do it is narrower. India's financial system is administratively headquartered here — the Reserve Bank, both national exchanges, most of the large private banks, the insurers, and the NBFC and fintech layer that has grown up around them, clustered through Bandra Kurla Complex, Lower Parel and Nariman Point. That single fact shapes what an AI engineering team in this city spends its time on.

A regulated lender does not want a chatbot. It wants a retrieval system that can answer a question about a circular, cite the paragraph it came from, and produce an audit trail six months later when somebody asks why a customer was told what they were told. The interesting engineering is not the model. It is document structure, versioning so a superseded circular never answers a current question, and an evaluation set built from questions the compliance team actually receives.

Embedding all of it with an English-first model and hoping produces a system that works in the demo and fails on the queries that matter.

We treat this as a design constraint from the first week rather than a localisation task at the end. It is the single most reliable reason our voice agent work holds up in production here when someone else's pilot did not.

The BFSI work is mostly retrieval over documents that carry regulatory weight: policy wordings, circulars, product terms, claim files. The requirement is almost never "make it clever". It is "make it cite its source, make it refuse when it does not know, and make it reproducible".

The media and advertising work is workflow automation: the same asset repackaged fourteen ways, the same brief re-briefed, approval chains that live in email. Unglamorous, and among the fastest payback of anything we build.

Do you meet clients in person?

Yes, and for Mumbai clients we prefer it for the first scoping session. Watching someone actually use the workflow you are being asked to automate tells you more in an hour than a fortnight of requirement documents. We travel to your office for that; afterwards most delivery work runs remotely with a weekly in-person checkpoint if you want one.

Do you only work with Mumbai companies?

Can you build systems that handle Hindi and Marathi?

Yes, and for a Mumbai support queue you usually have to. Real conversations here code-switch mid-sentence between English, Hindi and Marathi, often with Gujarati names and addresses in the mix. That breaks naive speech-to-text and it breaks retrieval that assumes one language per document. We handle it explicitly rather than treating English as the default and everything else as an edge case.

Do you understand RBI and DPDP compliance requirements?

We build to them rather than advise on them - we are engineers, not a law firm. In practice that means data residency inside India where a client is bound by RBI storage directions, audit trails that reconstruct why a system produced a particular answer, retention and deletion that a DPDP notice can actually be served against, and a documented position on what leaves the country when a model is called. Your counsel sets the requirement; we make the architecture meet it.
