An SEO company you can inspect before you hire.
Most of SEO is engineering: whether a page can be crawled, rendered, understood and trusted. We are an engineering team that does SEO, which means the first thing we will tell you about your site is what is broken, not what to publish.
Start by checking ours
You are about to hire someone to fix your search presence. The cheapest due diligence available is to open this site's source and see whether we did our own.
Everything in this list is verifiable from outside, on this domain, in about a minute. None of it is a number you would have to take on trust, because a number you cannot check is worth nothing at this stage of a conversation.
- Every page emits BreadcrumbList and a WebPage-family node in JSON-LD. Not the home page and the money pages — every page.
- Canonicals point at the apex domain, and the sitemap is generated from the same build, so the two cannot disagree.
- Anything set to noindex is excluded from the sitemap. A sitemap entry is a request to index; listing a page you have told Google to ignore is a contradiction.
robots.txtis generated from the domain setting rather than kept as a static file. A stale static one once pointed a site at the wrong sitemap host while every canonical said something else.- There is an
llms.txt, generated from the same register the navigation reads, so it cannot drift out of date. - The build fails — not warns — on a broken internal link, a skipped heading level, an image with no alt text, a title or description outside its length bounds, or a page with no inbound link from anywhere else on the site.
That last one is the important one. An orphan page is invisible to a crawler that arrives by following links, and it is the failure nobody notices because the page looks fine when you open it directly. We made it a build error after shipping three of them.
Why the first month is engineering, not writing
A page that cannot be crawled, rendered or told apart from three others is not competing badly. It is not competing at all, and no amount of new content changes that.
The faults we find most often are not editorial. A JavaScript front end that ships an empty document to a crawler and fills it in afterwards. Four category pages whose text differs by one word, so the strongest is indexed and the rest are treated as duplicates. A canonical tag copied across a template, pointing every page at the home page. Pagination that hides the deep catalogue behind a control a crawler never operates. Redirect chains left over from a site move, leaking whatever the old URLs had earned.
Each of those is a fix with a date on it, not a retainer. We would rather spend the first month clearing them and hand you a site that is merely eligible, than start publishing on top of a foundation that cannot rank. This is the same discipline as the rest of our technical SEO work, and it is why our AI search visibility engagements start in the same place: the systems that cite you have to be able to read you first.
The map pack is a different mechanism
Ranking in the ten blue links and appearing in the local three-pack are two separate systems. In a city this dense, the second is often where the calls come from.
Google publishes what drives it. Its local ranking guidance names three factors: relevance — "how well a Business Profile matches what someone is searching for"; distance — "how far each business is from the customer who's searching"; and prominence — "how well-known a business is". Google adds that "together, these factors help Google find the best match for customers' searches".
Distance is not negotiable. A searcher in Vashi and a searcher in Andheri are being shown different businesses for the same words, which is why a single city page cannot serve a business with three branches, and why the number of profiles you maintain is a strategy decision rather than an administrative one.
Relevance and prominence are the actual work: the categories on the profile, the services listed on it, the photographs, and above all whether your name, address and phone number are spelled identically everywhere they appear. A difference Google cannot reconcile reads as two possible businesses, and both of them lose. That is unglamorous work and it moves the needle more than most content plans.
What a Mumbai search actually looks like
Two things about this market change how a plan should be built, and neither shows up in a keyword tool's volume column.
The first is that comparison queries are directory territory. Search "best SEO company in Mumbai" and the results are Clutch, Semrush's agency lists, DesignRush — pages built to compare, answering a searcher who is comparing. That is a reasonable outcome, and it means the honest plan for those queries is to be in the lists rather than to try to outrank them. The queries an individual business can win outright are the narrower ones a buyer types after they know what they need.
The second is language. Queries here arrive in English, in Hindi, in Marathi, and in the mix of all three that people actually speak, often typed in Latin script. A plan built only on the English head terms misses the long tail where the intent is clearest and the competition is thinnest. We cover how that plays out across the practice on our Mumbai page.
What we will not do
Worth reading before the first call, because it rules out a fair number of engagements and saves everyone the meeting.
We do not guarantee rankings or quote an accuracy figure before seeing your data. We do not buy links. We do not publish thin pages built to hit a keyword, or spin one page into twenty by swapping the place name — that pattern is precisely what Google's core updates target, and it puts the whole domain at risk to chase a handful of queries.
We also will not take the work if the honest answer is that you do not need it. A business whose entire pipeline comes from referrals and one WhatsApp number does not have an SEO problem, and a scoping call that ends there costs you nothing. How the work is structured and paid for is on engagement models, and the FAQ covers timelines and ownership.

Book a free audit callThe first call is a screen share and about forty minutes. We open your site, your Search Console and your Business Profile, and tell you what we can see. Most of what matters is visible in that time, and you keep the list whether or not you hire us. We are in Chakala, Andheri East, and for a Mumbai business we would rather do the first session in your office than on a call.
Questions we get asked first
How do we know your SEO is any good before we hire you?
Check this domain. Every page carries BreadcrumbList and WebPage structured data, canonicals point at the apex, the sitemap excludes anything set to noindex, and robots.txt is generated from the domain setting rather than being a static file that can go stale. The build fails on a broken internal link, a heading level skipped, an image without alt text, or a page with no inbound link from anywhere else on the site. You can verify all of that with view-source and a validator, without asking us anything.
Do you guarantee first-page rankings in Mumbai?
No, and nobody who does is describing something they control. We do not quote a ranking or an accuracy figure before seeing your data. What we will commit to is the work: a technical baseline you can re-measure yourself, a content plan tied to queries that exist, and a monthly note that says what moved and what did not.
What actually decides whether we show in the Mumbai map pack?
Google publishes this. Its local ranking guidance names three factors: relevance, which it defines as "how well a Business Profile matches what someone is searching for"; distance, "how far each business is from the customer who's searching"; and prominence, "how well-known a business is". Distance you cannot change. Relevance and prominence are the work — the profile, the categories, the consistency of your name and address everywhere it appears, and whether anyone else on the web treats you as real.
Our competitors rank and we do not. Is that a content problem?
Sometimes. Often it is that a page is not eligible to compete at all — it renders empty to a crawler, it is a near duplicate of three other pages, it is orphaned from the navigation, or the canonical points somewhere else. Those are engineering faults, and they are the first thing we look for, because writing more content on top of them changes nothing.
Why do directories occupy the top of so many Mumbai agency searches?
Because for a query like "best SEO company in Mumbai" the searcher is comparing, and a list page answers that better than any single agency site can. It is worth knowing before you budget: for comparison queries the realistic goal is to be in the lists, and the queries you can win outright are the specific ones your buyer types once they know what they need.
Do you work with businesses outside Mumbai?
Yes, and about half our work is for clients in the UK, the Gulf, Singapore and Australia. The office is in Chakala, Andheri East, which matters for the map pack and for the fact that we would rather run the first session in your building than on a call.
Send us the page that should be ranking and is not
The call is free. If the answer is that the page is fine and the market is simply harder than the pitch you were given, we will say that.
